Lent

This year, Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18, and continues to Easter, roughly 40 days, not including Sundays. Sundays in Lent are not counted in the 40 days because each Sunday represents a "mini-Easter." Lent is a time for us to focus on our relationship with God, to grow as disciples, and to extend ourselves, often choosing to give up something or to volunteer and give of ourselves for others.
